Speaker Bio

Steven Gregory, 35, lives in Ruardean, Gloucester and for seven years he has a passion for photography. At the age of 28, Steve went through a Grade Three anaplastic astrocytoma brain tumour. The former agricultural service technician absolutely loves to take beautiful pictures in the Forest of Dean. He says it is great for his mental health. Steven has taught people in the community how to do mindful photography and even does his bit to help the Forest Voluntary Action Forum. A photography tutor since the start of 2024, Steven says this is something he never thought he would do in his lifetime.

The Event

About the event

This monthly event format includes updates on news, events, support and resources. People can also share their stories or just listen, if people want to talk privetly, we have a private space available.

We also have a guest speaker every month to focus on a specific topic or support. Its quite flexible, we have people play board games, just chat to one another and of course, tea, coffee & biscuits are free.

Who is this for?

Everyone welcome, an informal meeting to support the people in Ross On Wye  affected by Cancer. Whether you are living with Cancer or know someone  with Cancer, we would love to meet you. Come and meet with people who have experiences living with Cancer, we listen and support.

We aim to provide emotional and practical support to anyone affected by cancer. Whether you are a patient, a caregiver, or a loved one, we offer a welcoming environment where you can share experiences, receive guidance, and find a community that understands.
